I replaced the spark plug on JoAnna. The old one was broken. The terminal came right out, and stuck in the boot! When I bought it the guy said “I haven’t even replaced the spark plug” after saying that he hadn’t really messed with it since he bought it last fall.
She runs soooooooooooooo much better now. I can’t wait to take it for a spin. ... once the temperature gets back above 25. Were supposed to see 40 on Saturday so I’ll be going for a ride you can count on that!
I also finished the seat. And got the new grips on.

Some solid choices there.

Thanks! I’m so glad I got a new spark plug. Best 3 dollars I could have spent.

This is the disaster when I did the Miata plugs the other day. 3/4 of the wires completely came apart.

Yup they are spent. You have to wonder how resistance that was adding.

Never had that happen, but I did have an electrode fall out of the bottom of a spark plugs once. Crazy thing is, though it had to warm up a while, the plug must have still been sparking from the base of the electrode to the body, because the car was still running on all four cylinders.

I’m honestly surprised it ran at all.

That sounds like it could do some damage.’
The electrode wasn’t broken on this one, but it was pretty wrll warm out. The gap was definitely more than the suggested.028-.03”

Oh, those stupid little boots almost always get stuck in the plug wells on my car. I resorted to turning a wire clothes hanger into a plug fishing tool -- straightened out the wire, ground up one end sharp, then bent that end into a spiral. To use it, just have to stick it down the well, give it a few turns, then yank it out with the boot neatly speared on it.

It just goes to show you how much some engines just want to run.
